Our story
Tandem was founded by Ajsen Mustafa to offer a better way of finding and capitalising on property opportunities in central London. It started with a blank sheet of paper and sketched out what ‘better’ looked like. It was a business that was independent, nimble and highly connected.
One that did far more than just buying and selling, but instead conjured up innovative property solutions based on a deep understanding of client needs. It meant offering exceptional end-to-end services and straight-talking advice from experts who could be relied upon to take the initiative. This meant forming true partnerships based on delivering mutual benefit over the long-term. In short, ‘better’ looks like Tandem.
The founder
Ajsen Mustafa
Ajsen’s knowledge of London’s most prestigious postcodes is encyclopedic. Her years handling major on- and off-market transactions on behalf of high net worth individuals, overseas investors and developers - particularly in prime locations in W1, W2, SW3, WC1, WC2 and NW3 - means there are few experts as deeply immersed in the ebb and flow of the capital’s residential market dynamics. There are fewer still that can boast Ajsen’s experience of leading projects from acquisition through development to sale, her detailed understanding of legal and planning processes, or her extensive relationships with funders and asset managers. And, while there may be a handful of other property consultants with first class degrees in economics, you’ll be hard pushed to find another who speaks five languages including Arabic, is a qualified kick-boxing instructor and who enjoys Soca dancing. But if you ask Ajsen what makes her stand out from the pack, she’ll say it is her refusal to pull punches when giving honest advice. This, she believes, is the reason that so many of the people she sells to return as clients.
